Bradenton, Florida (June 9, 2014) – Blalock Walters’ attorney Fred E. Moore, principal in the firm’s business litigation group, has been named a Director and appointed as Vice Chair for conversion charter school William Monroe Rowlett Academy for Arts and Communication, Inc. (“Rowlett Academy”), formerly William Rowlett Elementary School. Rowlett Academy is the County’s first conversion from a public school to a charter school by the School District of Manatee County. Starting in the fall of 2014, the school will be known by its new name.
Rowlett Academy will offer a program to students in grades K-5 with a projected enrollment of 918 students. The mission of Rowlett Academy is to provide a high quality educational experience that will foster a love of learning for a diverse population of elementary students. The academy will promote creativity and excellence in academics by integrating the arts and communication through a framework of 21st century learning.
My oldest daughter leaves Rowlett Elementary this year, and I’ve watched her blossom in the unique atmosphere of learning that is Rowlett. Now I have the opportunity to continue to foster that unique learning environment as we take the next step into becoming a charter school by serving on the board of directors,” said Fred Moore.
Moore is a trial attorney based in Bradenton, Florida. He concentrates his practice in the area of litigation predominantly involving business disputes, estates and trust disputes, land use, employment law, and real estate. He is Board Certified by The Florida Bar in Business Litigation Law.
