Blalock Walters Pledges 1000 Pounds of Food
Blalock Walters has pledged 1000 pounds of food for Meals on Wheels PLUS of Manatee Grand Challenge Food Drive to White Out Hunger for 2014.
This year’s Grand Challenge is being held at the start of the busy summer season to help stock the shelves of the Food Bank of Manatee. During the month of June, the Grand Challenge asks local businesses, organizations and neighborhoods to “white out” summer hunger by raising 1,000 of food, $1,000 cash or a combination of the two. Items needed include canned vegetables, cereal, canned protein, rice and beans, 100% fruit juice, baby food and diapers.
