Expanding the Total to Three Florida Bar Board Certified Health Lawyers at Blalock Walters

Magidson, a principal with the Firm, has become certified as an expert in Health Law by The Florida Bar Board of Legal Specialization and Education. He is now one of only 127 Board-certified health lawyers in Florida, out of over 98,000 Florida lawyers.
Blalock Walters is now one of the few law firms in Florida with 3 or more Board-certified health lawyers. Nearly half of Blalock Walters’ 22 attorneys are now Board-certified across 7 practice areas.

Certification is the highest level of evaluation by The Florida Bar of the competency and experience of attorneys in the areas of law approved for certification. Board certified lawyers are the only lawyers in Florida allowed to refer to themselves as “specialists” or “experts” or to use the letters “B.C.S.” to indicate Board Certified Specialist when referring to their legal credentials. Only six percent of eligible Florida lawyers are Board certified in one or more of 24 certification areas. Board certification requires a lawyer to show substantial involvement in the area of certification, pass a rigorous examination and complete a thorough peer review process.
