Jenifer Schembri, estate planning and tax law attorney, has joined the Manatee Community Foundation board of directors.
“The knowledge and experience of trusted professional advisors plays a major role in helping charitable people make a difference through philanthropy,” said Susie Bowie, Manatee Community Foundation executive director. “We are delighted to benefit from the experience of Jenifer Schembri as she joins the Manatee Community Foundation board of directors. Her commitment to our community and to the ever expanding role of giving will help our organization grow in scope as it serves donors and nonprofits.”
The mission of Manatee Community Foundation (MCF) is to partner with citizens to strengthen and enhance our community through philanthropy, education, and service—now and forever. MCF values leadership, transparency, trust, integrity, loyalty, respect, and inclusivity in our work.
MCF is a 501(c)(3) public charity. As a supporting organization to the Community Foundation of Sarasota County, MCF benefits from an administrative support relationship with pooled assets, shared financial and legal services, and other resources. This allows them to focus on donors who live and give in Manatee County and nonprofits that build a thriving community.
Jenifer is a principal at Blalock Walters, P.A. and practices in both of the firm’s Bradenton and Sarasota offices. She is Board Certified by The Florida Bar as an expert in Tax Law, in addition to having her LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Florida and being a Certified Public Accountant. Jenifer represents both companies and individuals in the areas of individual and business tax planning, entity selection and formation, corporate governance matters, mergers and acquisitions, business succession planning and transitions, charitable planning, tax controversy matters at the federal and Florida levels, and all aspects of estate planning, including trust and estate taxation and wealth preservation.
