Our Community

For more than 90 years, Blalock Walters remains dedicated to our legacy of giving back to the communities in which we live and prosper. Our attorneys have led as presidents or chairs of many of the area’s major civic and charitable organizations including: Goodwill Industries Manasota, Goodwill Foundation, Tidewell Hospice, Sarasota Orchestra, United Way, Manatee Chamber of Commerce, Kiwanis Club, Meals on Wheels PLUS of Manatee, and the Bradenton Area Economic Development Corporation.

We also serve on various Boards of cultural and educational institutions in the Manatee-Sarasota region including: The John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art, USF Sarasota-Manatee, New College of Florida and its Foundation, Asolo Repertory Theatre, South Florida Museum and Realize Bradenton.

Turning Points Hosts Hats, Heels and Bow Ties Fundraiser

We were proud to support the 2019 Turning Points Hats & Heels & Bow Ties Luncheon at Grove Ballroom on May 3, 2019. Guests showed up in hats worthy of the Kentucky Derby, fancy heels, and gentleman showed off their best bow ties, including health care and business attorney Matt Lapointe. The sold out event had a fabulous raffle and silent auction, a photo booth, and a “best of” contest.

Turning Points, located at the Bill Galvano One Stop Center, provides, coordinates, and facilitates services to the homeless and those at risk of becoming homeless in Manatee County.
