Cory A. Stewart

Amanda C. Tullidge

Cory A. Stewart is a litigator in the firm’s Business Litigation department, where he represents businesses and individuals in a wide range of civil disputes. He has handled civil cases from every side of the process, and he brings thoughtful, strategic planning and advocacy to each stage of a case, from early evaluation and pre-suit negotiation through discovery, motion practice, mediation, and trial.

A significant part of Cory’s practice is construction law and litigation. He has handled disputes over construction defects, delays, payment, and contract performance for parties across the construction process, including property owners, contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers. These include claims arising from defective construction, water intrusion, and other causes of loss, as well as related disputes with insurers and responsible third parties. His broader civil litigation experience includes contract disputes, probate litigation, family law, and personal injury matters.

Before joining the firm, Cory spent several years as a staff attorney for the state court system in the Tampa Bay area. That role gave him a close view of how judges evaluate motions, weigh evidence, and manage complex dockets. He uses that perspective to give clients a realistic assessment of their cases and to build arguments with the court’s point of view in mind.
