Bob Blalock
Blalock Walters salutes Robert G. Blalock, Esq. as a Legal Legend honoree by Legal Aid of Manasota, Inc., representing his long-established career as a preeminent lawyer and community servant. He has truly made a difference in our region’s legal and cultural history.
Other recognitions he has received include the Lifetime Spirit Award by Manatee Community Foundation, the inaugural Community Service Award by Manatee County Bar Association, and the dedication of the Johnson-Blalock Education Center at The Ringling.
Bob has led the Manatee County Bar Association as past President and holds an AV Preeminent Rating in Martindale-Hubbell. He is former chair of Sarasota Orchestra, Ringling Museum, Manatee Chamber of Commerce, Manatee Community Foundation and United Way and trustee of New College of Florida.

On Friday, September 27, Legal Aid of Manasota, Inc. will honor legal legends from our community and beyond at an exciting multi-media event inspired by the book “Lawyer & Legends of Manatee County” written by Gilbert A. Smith, Jr. Join us for a night of dining, dancing and film at the Hyatt Regency, Sarasota as we celebrate those extraordinary lawyers, judges and activists who are a part of our nation’s and community’s rich legal history.
Your support will mean our ability to continue to provide quality free legal services to our community’s most vulnerable residents including children, victims of domestic violence, the elderly, and veterans. Partial proceeds will also support our Diversity Initiative which provides education and employment opportunities for minority students in Sarasota and Manatee Counties.
