Matthew A. Staggs is a principal attorney and serves as the practice group leader of the firm’s real estate, finance, and leasing departments. Matthew’s real estate practice focuses on commercial and residential transactions, single family and mixed-use developments, commercial and residential condominiums and subdivisions projects, commercial acquisitions and leasing, and asset and real estate based loan transactions. Matthew assists his clients throughout all stages of real estate transactions, including negotiating and drafting purchase and sale agreements, analyzing and reviewing due diligence and title related documents, drafting closing and loan documents, and facilitating closing and post-closing matters. Matthew works directly with his clients at each step of a real estate transaction to minimize their costs and liabilities. Matthew’s business and corporate practice focuses on entity formation and business governance and transactional matters.

• Served as lead counsel on multiple sales, purchases, and financing of multi-tenant apartment complexes, medical and office buildings, and shopping centers.
• Served as lead counsel on numerous sales, purchases, and financing of bowling alleys, convenience stores, dental and medical practices, movie theaters, and warehouses.
• Facilitated commercial and residential vacant lot sales, purchases, and financing for single family and mixed-use developments.
• Represented developers on commercial and residential condominium and subdivision mixed-use development projects.
• Served as closing agent and title agent for countless commercial and residential transactions across the State of Florida.
• Negotiated commercial leases on behalf of landlords and tenants for spaces in medical and office buildings and shopping centers.
